HD Mining appoints ex BC minister

Former energy and mines minister in the B.C. Liberal government, Blair Lekstrom, has been hired by HD Mining International Ltd.

This is the same company which was recently taken to B.C.’s high court by IUOE Local 115 to dispute 201 Temporary Foreign Worker permits to be issued to them to fully staff their Tumbler Ridge mine.

HD Mining Chairman Penggui Yan appointed Lekstrom for his “local perspective and experience to help the company engage with the community.”
