Business Manager Brian Cochrane congratulates Liberal government on repealing anti-union bills

IUOE Local 115 Business Manager Brian Cochrane met with new Federal Labour Minister MaryAnn Mihychuk in Ottawa this week to discuss Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker Program, as well as legislation introduced at the end of January to repeal Bill C-377 and C-525, which had been passed by the previous Conservative Government.

Cochrane congratulates Mihychuk and the Liberal Government on moving quickly to get rid of both anti-union bills.  Ahead of introducing legislation, the Liberal Government waived intrusive reporting requirements under Bill C-377 set to take effect at the end of 2015.
