After years of deliberation, the Burrard Street Bridge begins its overhaul this week to allow for more cyclists and pedestrians, as well as streamline the on and off ramps of this often-congested and confusing downtown artery.
This is the first stage of the hotly-contested rehabilitation and reconfiguration project to reconfigure Cornwall-Point Grey Road to be more accessible for cyclists and pedestrians, a project expected to last for the next 5 years.
