Depending on their Collective Agreement, IUOE Local 115 members may have access to comprehensive benefits through Pacific Blue Cross, Manulife, Industrial Alliance, and Homewood Health. Extended Health Care and Dental Care coverage is provided by Pacific Blue Cross. Our plan offers you and your family medical services, medications, and treatments NOT covered by your provincial health care plan. This includes coverage for dental, prescription drugs, paramedical, vision, medical equipment, and more.

You and your family can receive confidential, professional counselling from Homewood Health for a broad range of personal and family challenges. Homewood Health offers a unique and comprehensive continuum of care that ensures people get the help they need, when they need it.

Operating Engineers’ Benefit Plan (OEBP) Weekly Disability Benefits are available for periods of time during which you are prevented from working at your regular job as a result of a non-occupational injury or illness (excluding WorkSafeBC claims and motor vehicle accident claims). The Weekly Disability Benefits are integrated with the Employment Insurance Sickness Benefit for a combined maximum of 52 weeks.

In the event that an injury or illness extends past the coverage duration of Short-Term Disability, Manulife coverage provides an income to the disabled plan member until the age of 60 or retirement, whichever is earlier.

As a member of the Operating Engineers’ Benefit Plan (OEBP), you are covered by Industrial Alliance if you suffer the accidental loss of one or more limbs, and they provide a benefit to dependants in the event of loss of your life, anywhere in the world.
