Organizing with IUOE Local 115 means joining a movement rooted in solidarity, dignity, and fairness. With over 14,000 members across British Columbia, we have proudly secured first contracts for workers in heavy construction, transportation, waste, energy, mining, and more. When workers come together to form a union, they gain the power to negotiate a legally binding Collective Agreement—one that improves wages, benefits, safety, job security, and terms and conditions of employment. Many of these agreements have delivered first-time pension plans, helping members plan for a more comfortable retirement. At its core, organizing is about strengthening your workplace and standing together to raise standards for all workers in the province. Under the BC Labour Relations Code and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, all workers (especially non-union workers), are entitled to:

  • Talk about the Union to your coworkers during your breaks, lunch, or after hours
  • Contact our organizers anytime to learn about the benefits of joining a union
